Resilience Coaching

How do people become resilient?

Have you ever wondered why some people are more resilient than others? What makes them this way?

Resilient people are not born “resilient” but like you have responded to life’s stressful events in special ways.

Over time they build flexibility and suppleness in their mind that can respond positively to life’s challenges, which is commonly recognised as the ability to “bounce-back”.

Initially, they are able to explore difficult situations with more neutrality. Then they begin to explore and foster new viewpoints, methods and skills that best serves them and others.

What they are exceptionally good at is building inner strength and confidence through self-awareness and self-care. They are also adept at releasing stress and adapting to change.

The NN&R Coaching Method

Engaging the services of a certified counsellor in conjunction with a coaching approach offers a twofold advantage.

At NN&R, resilience coaching will involve assessing your situation and current resilience strategies. By talking through these and your goals, we can identify what good habits you already have in place and what additional or different methods or activities you would benefit from.

I have created several frameworks, including blended coaching and resilience methods, to support clients. Some methodology includes:

  • Understanding your unique situation and tailoring a resilience method that best serves you and your goals for growth and improvement.

  • Enhancing your “inner bank of resilience” by guiding you through five key stations of resilience training supported by appropriate counselling modalities and techniques.

  • Supporting you on your continued journey of taking action, gaining greater insight and realisation to your success.
